Radisson Blu Hotel East Midlands Airport, Derby

1 to 2 July 2017

We are delighted to announce the very first break-away 16-30's group event. This has been made possible by the Mark Dower Trust who have kindly sponsored this event; their generous contribution has made this weekend possible and more affordable for everyone.

This is a great opportunity to surround yourself with friends old and new, whilst gaining access to advice, support and opportunities to help you to manage your ataxia as best you can. The patron of the trust, Alison Halls, will be attending the weekend and can share with you how the trust can help.

The cost of the weekend is £75 per person including accommodation and meals. There are cheaper options available if accommodation is not required.

The weekend

The weekend starts on Saturday 1 July at 12.00pm, with a buffet lunch and a welcome from the Ataxia UK team. Saturday afternoon is packed with events and activities for the 16-30's group (carers are welcome to join too), with a parallel event running for parents hosted by Sue Millman, CEO of Ataxia UK. A three-course meal and a chance to socialise will follow in the evening.

Sunday morning offers further events until 12.00pm, including the launch of a fantastic film competition. There will be a light lunch on offer before departure.

The full weekend programme will be available soon

Booking your tickets

An online booking facility is available here or by calling the Ataxia UK office on 0207 582 1444

There are only 50 tickets for this event. As this is primarily an event for 16-30 group members, each young person may bring just one parent /carer / friend so that we can reach out to as many young people as possible. The tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis and the deadline for purchasing tickets is Tuesday 19 June at 5pm.

Please choose which type of ticket you need, and fill out the appropriate form below to book.
