Mark Dower, who had Friedreich’s Ataxia, lived his life independently and to the full, enjoying painting, drawing as well as poetry before he sadly died at the age of 41 in 2003. Inspired by Mark’s independent spirit and appetite to try new things, The Mark Dower Trust has been established by Mark’s family to offer an annual grant of up to £3,000, to support young people with ataxia aged between 16 - 30, to live independently through developing skills, hobbies or interests. If you are interested in applying call the Helpline for an application pack and submit your application by January 31st 2016. The successful applicant will be notified by letter by the end of February 2016.
